When confirming your final head count, don’t assume your guests who have not sent in their RSVP’s are not showing up.  You will be surprised how many guests assume that you assume they are attending!  Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone or have a close friend/family member call any guests you have not received an RSVP for.

TRUST me, 17 years ago I made the mistake of listening to my husband who told me he KNEW certain people were attending our wedding.  Keep in mind, these people confirmed with him long before the invitations were sent out.  Being that I was the soon to be Mrs I wanted to respect his certainty, and assumed he knew his guests better than I did.  Needless to say, we had three completely empty tables. *Sigh* Lesson learned…never assume your guests are coming!
